It’s almost here & it’s time to let it go

Y’all, my car looks like it should be featured on an episode of Hoarders and I’ve never been happier about disorganized, cluttered chaos.

For real, anyone who passes me on the interstate tomorrow will have legitimate concerns about my overall safety and well-being.

I’ve loaded down every square inch with all of the goodness that will make up the Unapologetic Launch Celebration tomorrow. Cases of books, sweet surprises, decorations, candles, banners, signs, and of course, champagne.

It’s all accounted for. I’ve crossed every item off the list, packed my bags, and I’m on my way.

How is it already time for this?!

This journey, writing, publishing, and launching Unapologetic, has been nothing short of a labor of love. And it’s wild to think… all the work, all the buildup, all the dreaming is finally here.

But here’s the truth I’m sitting with:

After months of holding this close, I now have to let it go.
To release it into the world.
To let it become what it’s meant to be… even if that means it’s no longer mine to control.

It’s the same in leadership and in life, isn’t it?

We pour ourselves into something (or someone), and then comes that pinnacle, terrifying moment where we have to trust the work.

So maybe today, it’s not about what you’re still chasing but about what you’ve worked so hard for that now you need to let go.

If you’re a leader, maybe it’s time to let someone on your team spread their wings.
If you’re a dreamer, maybe it’s time to stop polishing and finally put it out there.
And if you’re anything like me… maybe it’s time to unclench your grip and celebrate what already is.

Because letting go isn’t losing...
It’s leadership.
It’s trust.
It’s growth.

And it’s one of the most unapologetic things we’ll ever do. 

Be nothing but yourself.
