Pause for the PJ’s!

I’m a little late on my message to you this morning and that’s ok.

Some mornings we’re just running a little late.

As I’m writing, I’m watching the sunrise in Chicago anticipating “celebration day” for the book. It may be freezing, but there is nothing that warms my heart more than time with my tribe.

Last night, I got to have a pajama party with some of the world’s most beautiful humans.

We got to share what’s been on our hearts…some of it happy, some of it heavy. We laughed and we cried. We danced and we hugged. We took the silly videos (I’ll spare you). We ate too much junk food.

My legs are sore from dancing so much, my stomach still hurts from laughing so hard, and I am beyond tired after staying up way past my bedtime.

I’m behind on emails. I didn’t do quite everything I planned to prepare for today. I already wrecked the polish on my thumb from this week’s manicure. And you know what? That’s totally ok.

I wouldn’t change a single minute. If anything, I’d add a lot more minutes.

My cup is so full and this celebration is only beginning. So I might fall a little bit further behind the next couple of days…bare with me.

I’ve worked really hard to share the message of Unapologetic with you. Now it’s time to celebrate really hard too.

Too often we work through (or away) the moments that we should be slowing down. We stress over the silly.

But I hope this can me your reminder to day to take your pause when you need to.

Better yet, I hope this weekend you do something that feels like your pause too.

You’ll never regret the moments you spend doing the things you love with the people you care about. The rest can always wait…

So hang in there with me & keep following along for the fun.
