What if waiting is the point?
How often do we compromise the result for speed?
I got a Christmas present I’d been waiting for so long, a pair of boots, in fact and on Christmas morning, I was so excited to put them on and wear them proudly.
But truth be told, they were too big. And for a while, I walked around my house with them, trying to convince myself they fit. That they’d be fine. That they weren’t that big.
After clomping around in them myself and Hallie pointing out my feet looked like the Whos from Whoville, I had my moment of realization. I’d waited this long… it was worth waiting for the right size.
This week, the new size finally came in, and they’re perfect. As I walked around in shoes that fit, I shared with Eric what a great reminder it was.
We shouldn’t compromise the result for the speed of getting what we want.
Sometimes we go too fast and mess up our own results, when really we just need to slow down and show up with a little more patience.
So here’s what I’m wondering for you today…
Where might you be forcing the fit?
What are you rushing because you’re tired of waiting?
And what would change if you trusted that the right timing is worth holding out for?
If you needed the reminder on this busy Monday, I hope you’ll share it…forward it to an impatient friend.
And give yourself permission to wait for what actually fits.
Be nothing but yourself.
Big hugs & love,
Cassy
