A Labor of Love…
Who’s chasing after something that lights their heart on fire?
My fellow dreamers. Entrepreneurs. Believers.
This could be in your professional life, personal life, community….the limits to our dreams our actually limitless.
But in a conversation with a dear friend yesterday I shared that just because it’s a Labor of Love doesn’t meant it doesn’t feel like work.
Everything that God’s put on my heart has also come with a pretty hefty lift. And that’s fine with me…I’ll never shy away from the work it takes to get something done, but I want all of us to recognize that it’s just that, work. Remember the expression above?
If you’re admiring someone else’s success through the screen. If you’re doom scrolling wishing you “had that,” “looked like that,” “got to do that.” Whatever that is…THAT takes work, hustle, and grind.
The most successful, fulfilled, and purpose-driven people I know do not shy away from doing the work.
Instead, they embrace the calling that’s on their heart, run at it full speed, and go “head down” to get it done.
This season for me has been like that. I’ve said “No” to a lot of things (and people) because my best “yes” is serving this message while still being present for my family.
My best “yes” is making sure that I work towards the purpose that God’s put on my heart. I’ll keep showing up to do the work until I feel like the work is complete.
Will you?
Consider auditing the way you spend your time today…
Is it your “best yes?”
Should it really be a “no thanks”?
Does the work you’re doing today support your goals, vision, and purpose?
I hope it does.
Oh, and be nothing but yourself!
Big Hugs & Love,
Cassy
