Who is Cheering for You?
“Unapologetic is more than just a story — it’s a mirror held up to the soul. Through its pages, we’re reminded of the quiet power of authenticity, the courage it takes to walk your own path, and the beauty of kindness in a world that sometimes forgets it.
Cassy beautifully captures what it means to find your place — not by fitting in, but by standing tall in your truth. This book reminds us that light doesn’t ignore the darkness; it shines because of it.
With every challenge, the story whispers a gentle reminder that grace and empathy are acts of rebellion in a society obsessed with conformity. This book is for anyone who’s ever felt out of step with the world — anyone who’s tried to dim their light just to belong.
It’s a celebration of individuality, compassion, and the quiet strength that comes from living unapologetically.
By the final page, you don’t just feel inspired…you feel seen. And maybe, just maybe, you feel a little braver to be yourself and bring your own light wherever the world needs it most.”
You have to know that this review is different. This review is special.
Yesterday, my little sister finished Unapologetic. And for me, there really isn’t a person (aside from Eric) on this planet I’d want to love the book more than her.
It’s not that I’m longing for her approval. It’s that my hardship has been hers, and hers mine. The tears I cried, she often did too. The struggles I faced, she also saw. The dreams I fought so hard to accomplish, she aspired for too.
We’ve walked through some of the highest of highs (and lowest of lows) together. She has seen me through every chapter, long before this book was ever written.
There is no one else who understands me like she does. I am her toughest critic, but also her biggest fan. And she is mine.
Who is cheering for you right now?
Who are you cheering for?
How are you auditing the voices in your life?
Who’s opinion matters & who’s should be cast aside?
Support, to me, has nothing to do with blood and everything to do with consistency. Alyss and I wouldn’t pretend that our relationship is flawless…it isn’t. But to be honest, the reality is that we shouldn’t have a relationship at all.
And yet, we show up anyways.
Family isn’t perfect.
I didn’t title that chapter Family to a Fault lightly.
Because who I consider “family” is a choice, not a bloodline.
In our path to becoming Unapologetic, it’s essential we have family. It’s essential we have a tribe.
It’s not one-size-fits-all by any means — but it is bound by love, courage, and kindness. That’s the family and tribe I want.
Who is in yours?
I promise they’re worth the wait (and the fight). So look for them, show up for them, and do the work.
Oh, and don't forget to be nothing but yourself.
Big Hugs & Love,
Cassy
