The Popsicle Stick Said What?
Life be Life-in’ and Jesus be workin'.
Yesterday was one of those days where I found myself saying that phrase over and over again.
A really special virtual coffee date, lunch with a friend, proposals submitted, and a lot of responses from outreach done weeks prior.
It was one of those days where you look around and think, "Okay, God. I see what You're doing."
But here's the part that struck me most...None of it happened alone.
I had lunch with a friend and shared what I was working toward.
I asked friends for feedback, brutal honesty, and support.
I shared ideas, opportunities, fears, and next steps with people I trust.
Without realizing it, I spent the entire day sharing my dreams.
Then later that afternoon, I was sitting in the driveway eating a Johnny Pop with Sophie.
Now, you should know Sophie was wearing a life jacket. Waddling around without water in sight.
No pool. No lake. No reason whatsoever for the life jacket…
But when you're parenting a toddler, sometimes you stop asking questions and simply admire the commitment. And this was totally worth sharing.
Anyway, I got to the end of my popsicle and read the stick:
"Share your dreams with a friend."
I laughed out loud because it felt like the most obvious message I could have possibly received after the day I'd just had.
So naturally, I snapped a picture and texted it to all the women who had been helping me carry those dreams throughout the day.
Ashlee responded by writing an entire Unapologetic Edit inspired by the popsicle stick story. And that's when it hit me.
The popsicle said, "Share your dreams with a friend."
My friend responded by proving why.
Because when you share a dream with someone, they don't just cheer for it. They become part of it.
They start looking for opportunities you can't see.
They make introductions.
They lend perspective.
They remind you what you said you wanted when fear starts getting louder than everything else.
Sometimes they even start writing your newsletter for you. (Love you so much Ash)
The older I get, the more convinced I am that dreams were never meant to be carried alone.
Every meaningful thing I've built has someone else's fingerprints on it.
A friend who encouraged me.
A friend who challenged me.
A friend who believed in something before I could fully see it myself.
Which is why I believe this so deeply:
Belief multiplies.
When someone believes in you, it becomes easier to believe in yourself.
When you share a dream, other people start carrying pieces of it too.
And suddenly what felt impossible starts feeling possible. That's the reminder today.
You don't need to build your dream by yourself.
In fact, you're probably not supposed to.
So if there's a dream you've been carrying quietly…tell a friend or share it with us.
You never know what can happen when someone else starts believing in it too.
Confidence doesn’t come first, belief does.
Big hugs & so much love,
Cassy
