I Couldn’t Finish Unapologetic Until I Did This…
3 Things I Had to Unlearn to Finish This Book
Writing Unapologetic wasn’t just about getting words on a page. It was about working through the hardships on the way to being who I wanted to be.
Here are 3 things I had to let go of—and maybe they’re the same things keeping you from chasing your dream:
1. I had to unlearn that being liked mattered more than being real.
People-pleasing was safe. But it silenced my boldest truth.
You don’t build a movement by trying to be palatable.
You build it by being honest, authentic, and Unapologetically YOU.
✖️ No more shrinking. No more shying away.
✔️ Say what’s really on your heart. Even if (and when) your voice shakes.
2. I had to unlearn that someone else’s lane was better than mine.
Comparison is a liar.
You’re not behind…you’re becoming.
And your path? It’s not meant to look like mine, theirs, or anyone else's.
Oh, and you don’t need to borrow someone else’s brilliance. Yours is enough.
✖️ No more copying.
✔️ Carve your own way. That’s where the power is.
3. I had to unlearn that success meant doing it all alone.
This book happened because I let people in. Because I let people pour into me.
Coaches, friends, readers, and my own family, I needed them.
Letting people walk beside you doesn’t make you weaker. It makes you unstoppable.
✖️ No more solo struggle.
✔️ Build your tribe. Ask for help. Then run together.
I don’t know what your dream is…
But I do know this: You can’t bring it to life while clinging to what’s holding you back.
So ask yourself: What do I need to unlearn to step into the version of me that’s ready to move?
And when you find it?
Write it down. Say it out loud.
Then go take the next brave step. I’m here, cheering you on.
Big Hugs & Love,
Cassy
