No Gifts without Grind!

I was talking to a dear friend this week, who also serves as a protective big sister, and mid-conversation a one-liner slipped out of my mouth that stopped us both.

“Gifts don’t come without a grind.”

That’s right…I said it. 

Because it’s not as easy as it looks.

It’s never as simple as what you planned. 

And it rarely goes the way you think it will. 

But the gifts still come, just not without the grind. 

Funny enough, our church service this past weekend was centered around this exact message (God winks, right?)

John 1:4-5 – “His life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

I sat there in disbelief, nodding through the whole thing, reminded that sometimes the grind is the gift because it grows us, humbles us, and pushes us to shine our light even brighter.

So if you find yourself in a challenging season right now, I hope you know how loved you are. I hope you know how much what you do matters. And I hope you choose to keep chasing the light…even when it’s hard to find because the world needs what only your light can do.

Whatever dream you’re chasing, whatever goal you’re fighting for, show up intentionally, consistently, and with a whole of grit. .The hard work pays off.
