Anyone else riding the struggle bus through these early days of August? Because I swear we’ve had more curveballs than an MLB game and I’m just trying to keep up.
Honestly, I feel like one of those cartoon characters whose feet are moving at lightning speed… but they’re stuck in the same place.
And as a glorified planner, nothing has gone as planned and it’s killing me.
But I’m showing up late anyways.
Have you ever missed the deadline, lost track of time, or hit a roadblock that threw your whole plan off?
I have. I am. And I probably will some more.
For the longest time, I believed if it wasn’t perfect, I couldn’t do it.
Couldn’t post it. Release it. Share it. But this season hasn’t given me the luxury of perfect. It’s given me a choice: Give up or show up late anyways.
So here I am.
Off my timeline. Missing every benchmark and deadline I set for myself.
But I’m not letting it break me.
I’m calling it what it is: a setback not the end.
If you’re in that space, I challenge you to do the same.
Show up late anyways.
Someone needs what’s on your heart…your words, your work, your presence. Don’t let “perfect timing” keep you from showing up at all.
