Would you believe what I found in Concourse C?

Do author’s have a “book bucket list?”

Because when you write a book, it’s almost like having a baby…

I said almost mamas.

You have these big dreams, ambitious hopes, quiet aspirations, and the magic you hope comes from your words on paper.

You work tirelessly spending hours writing, researching, editing, and so on. And then it’s done.

And you find yourself asking, “What the heck do I do from here?”

So even though I’m not sure if there’s ever been a “book bucket list” today my first bucket-list item was officially checked off.

Wondering what it is? You ready for this?

I’m strolling through concourse C in the Atlanta airport when all of sudden I hear my name being called with great excitement. There between Chick-fil-A and a charging station was Ingrid with the biggest smile on her face.

Do you know what she was reading during her travels?

If you have a hard time with easy questions, I’ll give you this one: Unapologetic!!!

Getting to see my book, in the airport, in her hands, completely unplanned was one of those moments I won’t forget. And not only was she in tow with my book, but was also wearing the Unapologetic bracelet. I mean, come on!

You cannot make this up! God-winks!

How often do we create? Whether a book, a message, a home project, you name it and then mark it “complete” without really getting to celebrate in the success of the finish.

Writing a book is surreal. Sharing my heart in this way has been a roller coaster. But getting to see it today, in the airport, in a bag that wasn’t mine as I made my way to connecting flight was one of those God-wink flash signals that I refuse to let fly by.

My heart remains full of gratitude. But today, in a world where darkness is fighting to drive out the light, I am even more grateful for a community that is genuinely excited about what this book stands for.

I know I’ve told you, but I love getting to hear your takeaways, aha-moments, and favorite parts. Please don’t stop sharing them.

And if you have a chance to celebrate someone else’s win, finish, start, stop, or success today, I really hope you do. We all could use it.

Big Hugs & Love,

Cassy
