I love you all the way up to space!

Anyone else rush through the weekday mornings like a Chinese fire drill?

We run around like crazy people basically until we’re all safely buckled up in the car.

That’s why on the weekends I try to make a conscious effort to have slow, intentional mornings with the girls.

Now anyone with kids know that “slow” mornings don’t equate to quiet mornings…For us, there is always inevitably an Alexa battle no matter how peaceful I hope (and pray) the morning is…

Let me set the stage…

Me: “Alexa, play ‘Good Day’ by Forest Frank”
Hallie: “Alexa, stop”

Me: ”Alexa, resume

Hallie: “Alexa, play ‘Let it Go’”

Me: “Alexa, stop.”

You get my point…Y’all have to know that neither Hallie or I like losing or backing down. But, once we finally settle on a song, we make breakfast together and it’s my favorite. Hallie loves to help and I love to remind her that she can do anything.

So today as we sat and ate breakfast as a family, Hallie looked over at me and said “I love you all the way up to space.”

I melted. My sour patch kid.

This girl is something fierce. She gets it honest.

But it reminded me that no matter what precedes us…sharing love and saying the good that we feel in the exact moment we feel it is so important.

Kids do it, so why don’t we?

If you’ve got love in your heart today, share it.

If you love someone all the way up to space, tell them.

We’re not guaranteed tomorrow, so don’t wait.

& be nothing but yourself.
